Hallelujah.......

I went to church on Sunday. It has been a long time since i last went to church. 6 months at least... This was partly due to the lack of churches back in Alor Setar... and the other parth was due to the fact that i lacked the motivation to lift my bump of the sofa... so there...

I sort of like going to church, although i don't consider myself to be a true christian yet... I still have my doubts and I find it difficult to believe in somtheing that i could not witness with my senses. But then again, going to church gives me a sense of serenity and allows me to ponder about things (such as: why would people want to put a lamb on a throne? never managed to figure that out) and life in general.

Last Sunday, I made an astounding reallisation. During that church session, I was overwhelmed by the passion and submissiveness of the Sunday church goers. Some had their eyes closed while saying their prayers and some had their hands up in the air and made spasm like motions while singing the hymes and praising the Lord's name. And suddenly, it occured to me: it doesnt matter if God actually existed or not. People believe in him and thats all that matters!! For some, God is what drives and motivates them. It is what gives them a sense of purpose and belonging. They belong to God's family, and they are proud of it. He gives them hope and grants them the will to go through trials and tribultaions. Although the true strength might actually lie within themselves, the believe in a higher devine power allows them to focus their energies and hones their spirit.

So i guess it doesnt really matter after all if there is God or not. Anything is possible, just as long as you believe....
