I got this thingy from my friend's blog : http://thoughtdissector.blogspot.com/

Section I: Write a story, by answering these questions as if you're telling a story.

  • So you're walking along in a forest. What season is it?
  • After a while, you come to a wall. What kind of wall is it? (height, material, shape, etc..)
  • What do you do about it?
  • Further in the forest, you happen upon a cup. Describe the cup. What do you do with it (if anything)?
  • Next you spot a knife. Describe the knife. What do you do with it (if anything)?
  • Next you come across a body of water. What type of body of water is it?What do you do about it?
  • Finally, the path you seemed to have made for yourself looks like it ends at a cave. What do you think of it? What do you do about it?

The End.

* Pls do write your story before u read section III, otherwise you'll just tailor ur story, and that'll ruin the fun =P

Section II: Post your story in Comments.

Section III: Here's what your story means:
The journey through the forest represents your life. The way you feel about the season you picked represents the way you feel about life. If it's winter in your story and you love winter, you are enjoying your life. The wall represents your problems in life. The height, material, and shape is your view of your problems' surmountability. What you do about it is how you face your problems. The cup means your friends. What you do with it is you feel about them or how you treat them. The knife is your view of marriage. What you do with it is how you feel about it.The body of water is your view of sex. Was it a large ocean of opportunity? Was it a dirty puddle? Did you jump in? Did you drink it up? Did you pass it by?The cave is your view of death. If you went in, you are not afraid of death.

This is what I wrote:

One day, after having a row with my parents, i decided to take a walk in the woods behind my house.

It was autumn during that time. Dried leaves had turned a dull red colour and were dropping all around me. I took a deep breath and inhaled a deep lungful of cool, crisp, autumn air, trying to clear my mind a bit. Every step i took made a dry crunching sound as i made my way into the heart of the forest. It was a good thing it was autumn otherwise the forest would have been too thick for treking.

After walking around aimlessly for 10 minutes, i stumbled upon an old crumbling wall. It was made of red brick, just like those used in 18th centuary architecture. Part of the wall was covered with spray paint left behind by vandals and druggies who had nothing better to do. I passed my hand gently over the rough surface of the wall, feeling the dusty crevices between the bricks of the ancient stone structure. I remembered the time when my dad used to bring me out to this parts of the woods, and told me old stories of the glorious and magnificent past this structure once held, when i was much younger. Alas, those days were long gone...

I heaved my self over the old brick wall. It must've been ages since I last came here. Was it fate that actually brought me back to this place? As i descended from the wall, I stepped on an old plastic cup, flattening it and spilling out the filthy rain water gathered inside. I watched the small mosquito larvae squirm around for a bit, as the water slowly seeped in between the dry leaves.

Beside the plastic cup was an old rusty knife. About 6 inches in length. The surface of the wall next to the knife had the words "Love Susan forever" etched on it. I picked up the knife and examined it. Nothing special... Just a rusty knife. I put it back where i found it. No way i'm going to carry that thing around !

I kept on walking, leaving the old building behind me. Soon, I reached the part where the forest ends, reavealing the view of a huge lake with steady blue mountains residing at its horizon. I gazed at the crystal clear waters and spotted tiny fish swimming around at the bottom. A few ducks floated around lazily leaving behind a trail of ripples. I took off my shoes and dipped my toes into the lake. Brrr... its cold... Definately not the right season for swimming...

I walk along the sandy shores of the lake until I reached the mouth of a small cave... Legend has it that a long time ago smugglers used this cave to hide their loot (sounds cliche, but thats how i really pictured it to be like). Now, apart from bat droppings and a few skeletons left behind by dead animals, there isn't really much to see. As i took a step in, a chilly gust of wind blew out of the cave, whistling and moaning in its wake. Man, now i do wish that i had picked up that rusty knife and brought it along... It might have offered me a little protection, if any, against whatever that is lurking beneath the shadows. I switched on my torch, and proceeded my journey into the inky depths of the cave...

To be continued... or not? depends... haha...

I predict that i will die one day...... Does that make me a prophet?

The younger lion will overcome the older one,

In a field of combat in single fight:

He will pierce his eyes in their golden cage;

two wounds in one, then he dies a cruel death...

I've been reading a book on nostradamus's perdictions. This was the one that actually made him famous because it described the death of King Henri II.

Authors interpretation:

During a jousting competition between the king and Montgomery, the captian of his Scottish guard, they splinttered lances, but Montgomery failed to pull up his lance in time, so the splinttered lance pierced throught the king's helmet and into his eye. Some people say the king also sustained a second wound in the throat. Montgomery was 7 years younger then Henri. Henri sometimes used the lion as his emblem. The king lay in agony for 10 days before he died.

My interpretation:

I was played a game of chess with my friend 2 days ago. Coincidentally, there are the words "lau" and "shi" in his name (lau means old and shi means lion in chinese). He is also a few months older then me. So naturally, im the younger lion. My friends likes to do castling, so that puts his king in a safe position, a "golden cage". But he made a few mistakes in that game, allowing me to attack his king at 2 possitions, 1 possition with my queen and the other possition with my rook. Since im not particularly good at checkmating ppl, i had to clear all his pieces to make way for my queen and rook in order to win the game. So when i finally won the game, my friend only had his king and a pawn, hence explaining the part of dying a cruel death....

Nostradamus is a genius man... he actually predicted that i was going to win this game of chess 500 years ago... AMAZING !!

Haha... what a load of crap... people who actually believe this must be retarded...

* This is actually 1 of the few times where i beat my friend in chess. Usually, i am the one who is at the losing end...

Cliché...

"Success is 99% perspiration and 1% inspiration......"

Hmm this is a famous quote of Thomas Edison i think... The one which has been seriously missused by ALOT of people...

Most of us would assume that Thomas Edison is encouraging us to work hard to achieve our goals right? That assumption might really make an ASS out of U and ME...

Im sure most of u have installed a programme before... What happens when the installation gets stuck at 99% ? The programme simply doesnt work... on top of all the frustration and irritation, u have wasted all of ur time spent on that installation and will probably have to redo it all over again... And for cases where u will need to replace the CD, you have to waste even more time, energy and some petrol ( U might need to drive back to the CD shop). So who says that the 1% isnt crutial just because of the 99:1 ratio?

So what happens if you invest all of your 99% of energy on a project but simply lack the 1% of brains?

Answer : You get a parliament building with a leaky roof...

Besides wasting public funds and projecting a poor image of our country, an extra 22mil ringgit has to be spent to wipe your ass... So the moral of this story is : if u dont have the brains for the job, STOP hogging the resources and let someone else do it !! That's what Thomas Edison is actually trying to tell us...

Growing up isnt such a big deal after all......

Studies shown that people are reaching puberty at a younger and youger age...

Statistics show that people are getting married at a later and later age...

Ironic isn't it? Our planet is getting wierder by the day...

I've reallised that most people grow old, but they never grow up. In fact, i reallised that the only difference between an adult and a child is that adults are hornier. As adults, we consider ourselves to be more mature and wiser right? But how come we always end up doing the same things we did as children?

For one, we fight over religion. Wars had been fought over the issue of who's religion is more supreme ever since the beginning of history. Sometimes, i really dont get it. We worship and love our creator, but why cant we love him for what He is? Why does it matter whether we call him God, Allah, or 神? We know who He is and He will always have a place in our hearts. Why must we try to exert our believes on others and eliminate those who do not comply? This is just like one of those "My dad is better than your dad" arguments we have as children, just that now it is fought more aggresively over a way larger scale.

The second thing is, we throw temper tantrums when we don't get what we want. If you dont believe me, just ask anyone who works in the "customer service and feedbacks" section. I've seen people yelling at those poor people working there over things which are entirely not their fault. I mean, what has the person working at the customer service got to do with your faulty purchase or unsatisfactory service? They are just there to take complains, and not to be a punching bag.

Well, we watch cartoons too... Some of us might be anime buffs or watch cartoons such as "south park" and "the simpsons". The only difference between adult cartoons is that some of them contain humour of the sexual nature, which children probably wont be able to comprehend.

We play with toys. We collect cars, play computer games, some of us invest in stereo systems, while some of us play sports such as golf, bowling, soccer, etc... which is not unlike the games we play as children. Its just that the toys become bigger and more sophisticated as we get older.

There are countless other things which actually show that being an adults is actually no different from being a kid. So since, we are reaching puberty at a earlier and ealier stage in life, there might actually come to a point where the line between adulthood and childhood becomes so vague that we can be adults on the day we are born... Lol...

Where, O' death, is thy victory?

It is a good day to die,

Anyday is a good day to die.

Anytime is a good time to die.

Anyway is a good way to die.

Why does it matter how you die?

Why are rituals important after you die?

You probably wont even know you are dead after u die.

Why is it that people always dont know how good it is to live until they are about to die?

Would we still know that, we have once lived, after we die?

Do we go to heaven after we die?

If heaven's such a great place, why are we all afraid to die?

Are we afraid of the pain before we die?

Are there things that we want to achieve before we die?

Are there things we want to tell our love ones before we die?

Then, why are we wasting time doing things that dont matter before we die?

Why dont we say the things we want to say until the time has come for us to die?

Do we get reborned after we die?

In that case, what difference does it make if we die?

Do we go to sleep after we die?

If so, why do we sleep away one third of the time we are supposed to live before we die?

Eventually everyone must die...

Inspite that fact, I think i'm still too young to die...

Coming up.... More crap !!!

I saw this webpage on the internet yesterday about Einstein's Theory of relativity... I'd like to summarise what i learnt here...

Its says...

If u are travelling on a train that goes at 100km/h and u jump forward at 20km/h... How fast are u travelling to an observer beside the tracks? Logically... u'd be travelling at 120km/h, which is the total sum of the speed of the train + ur velocity... But to you, you are travelling at only 20km/h relative to the train.

Ok, so now einstein asks a question, If u are sitting on a train travelling at half the speed of light, 0.5c, and u shine a beam of light forward, what will be the speed of that beam of light observed by someone beside the tracks? Again logic tells you that it would be 1.5c, the sum of the speed of light and the speed of the train right? But appearantly, to an observer, the speed of light is still c.

Ok, then what would the speed of light be to u, who is sitting inside the train? In that case, it should be 0.5c right? Since the train is moving at halve the speed of light, so relative to the speed of the train, light should travel at half its speed right? Einstein tells us it is not the case. The speed of light observed by you would still be c.

Although this doesnt really make any sense to me... Einstein claims that this is because both you and the observer by the tracks perceive time differently...

So to illustrate this, he says that if u are travelling in a spaceship moving at the speed of light, and u bend down to tie your shoelace, to you, the time taken to tie your shoelace will still be 2 minutes, but to an observer on earth, it seems like you are taking hours and hours to tie your shoelace. So, if u travel outwards in space for 1 year at the speed of light and come back to Earth, to you, it only took 2 years. But to the people on Earth it seems like you were gone for hundreds of years. So you have actually travelled hundreds of years into the future...

Personally, i think there seems to be something wrong with the flow of logic:

1. I think time should be the same for both you and the people on Earth. So if you go into space and come back later, the time on Earth will still be 2 years later, it is just that you have travelled faster then the image of your spaceship... its the image of your spaceship that takes hundreds of year to come back to Earth. I dont understand why either since you are travelling at the same speed as your image, so logically you should return to Earth at the same time...

2. If you travel at the speed of light directly in front of the person on earth, he probably wont be able to see you, because light isnt able to catch up with u, thus ur space ship wont be able to reflect any light. So i think the spaceship can only be observed at an angle... and in that case... i dun think you would be able to see the image until some time later, because u will need to wait for light to catch up with the spaceship and reflect back into your eyes...

Check out this website if you think I've misinterpreted what I've read... http://www.pbs.org/wgbh/nova/time/think.html

When time has no meaning.......

I spent the whole of last night thinking about something that doesnt really make sense at all...

What is time actually? Einstein says it is the fourth dimension right?

First of all what is a dimension... Our known universe has 3 dimensions right? A straight line has 1 dimension, an area has 2 dimensions and a cube has 3 dimensions... So having a 4th dimension is like sitting on a train moving on train tracks where the train is our 3 dimensions and the tracks will be the 4th dimension... Am I getting this correct?

If a train can go back and forth on its tracks, so it can be said to be the same for our 3 dimensions right?

So i was thinking... suppose this analogy is wrong... and there isnt such thing as a 4th dimension because time doesnt actually exist...

Imagine you are in a universe that doesnt move... the temperature doesnt change... In fact, nothing changes at all... So does time actually mean anything in this universe? I dont think so... But im sure the other 3 dimensions still exist right?

Ok... coming back to our universe... How do we actually measure time? There are 24 hours in a day... what is a day? A day is the time taken for the earth to spin around its axis right? So in other words 1 day is 40,075.16 KM right? So if ur car is going at 100km/h which is 2400km/day and u want to calculate its velocity without involving time, you'll get 2400/40,075.16 which is a constant... which is also the ratio of the distance travelled by the earth to that travelled by ur car in any given time...

Erm... ok this doesnt really mean much... Im still trying to put my thoughs in order...

What im trying to say is time is merely a concept used to measure change... It might not really exist at all... Its like a reference point to relate to specific conditions... So instead of saying you are moving your car 24000km for everytime the earth spins 40,075.16km, u use the term "day"... so a day basically is a constant used to represent the distance moved on the circumference on the earth. So a day could simply be the same as "a dozen", depending on the reference point.

So my conclusion is, it might not be possible to travel in time because we are in a train that actually have no train tracks...

Ouch... my head hurts !!

Lo and Behold !!!

I have just made an astounding discovery!!!

I MIGHT BE THE CREATOR OF THIS UNIVERSE!!!

The universe as I perceive it, is the creation of my subconscious mind to entertain my conscious mind... So basically, everything and everyone is merely a figment of my imagination... but the problem is, my conscious mind is unable to alter reality because my subconscious mind is the one in charge of designing the universe... I mean u created a dream right? But u hardly have any control over what happens in a dream...

There is no such thing as a future and a past for this universe because everything began the moment i gained consciousness and everything will remain as it is until i die... So as far as i am concerned... the universe exists because i exsist and the universe would not have existed if i did not existed because i wouldnt be there to witness its future and its past... As i said in my previous post "I See Dead People...." The world would not be the same if i have not perceived it to be so...

I have come to this conclusion because the only thing that im certain about is "my existance"... I know i exist because i exist... the rest of u... im not really sure... coz u all could damn well be figments of my imagination... hehe... How can i be certain that im sitting here writting this entry and not sleeping on Mars dreaming about it? How? Since all of u might be figments of my imagination... so its only natural that all of u would dissapear the moment i lose consciousness and the only reason all of u existed in the first place is because i thought all of u up... Just as it is in a dream... the dream dissapears the moment u lose consciousness in your dreams ( I wonder if any of u figments of my imagination ever died in a dream before )... Hehe...

Perceiving the universe is the same as reading a book... U wouldnt know the world inside the book ever existed until u read it... so as far as u are concerned it doesnt exist...

Erm... so since i created the universe... the universe should revolve around me right? Lol...

Ignorance is a bliss......

I've been feeling rather happy lately...

And I havent been thinking about much...

Putting 2 and 2 together... I was wondering if i am happy because I've stopped thinking or was it because i am happy thats why i stopped thinking?

It is only natural to be happy if u dont think, because if u dint have to worry about your future, you'd be happy too. On top of that, if u dont compare your life with the lives of others, you wont know how much you are lagging behind and how much you have lost out in terms of competetiveness. You wont reallise that u are stupid if you didnt know that others are smart... You wont have to feel ugly if u dont care if others are good looking... In fact, not thinking will do wonders for your self esteem!! You wont have to feel rejected or looked down upon ever again!! And u wont have to worry about people thinking of u as an idiot, because basically you couldnt care less!! Haha...

But on the other hand, you cant afford not to think if u are not happy. So u must be happy in the first place before you can stop thinking. For example, you cant be happy if u are hungry, so you'll have to worry about where you are going to find your next meal. In other words, if all you basic necessities are met then only can you be truely happy. Hence, if u have nothing to worry about then only can u stop thinking.

So I was wondering if the key to a happy life is to live everyday as it is without having to worry about tomorrow or are u supposed to worry about tomorrow first and make sure everything is in order before you can be happy?

I was also thinking... If im thinking about all these crap... maybe im not that happy after all...... Hehe...

Me a Name I Call Myself...

* The above garbage has no scientific backings and conclusions are made on pure observation

** The author takes no responsibility if any personels bearing the above names have traits deffering from those mentioned above

The answer to the ultimate question......

I think it would be a bad thing if we knew everything... Why? Because then the world would be a very dull place... There would be nothing left to discover... all our problems could be solved by easy solutions... We would just wonder aimlessly through our lives without purpose and motivation...

There wouldnt be such a thing as good or bad... because we are able to reason things out perfectly... There will only be the right way to do things and the wrong way to do it...

For example... let me ask u a question... Is it correct to kill? For those who have religion... i'm pretty sure its wrong... for those who belive in the current legal system... i'm not too sure... coz we think hanging guilty people is ok right? but if u really think abt it... why do we hang murderers? its not because we want to seek retribution for the deceased... coz he wont know any better... he IS dead after all...... So we are doing it because the murderer is "IN OUR WAY". Because if u let him go free... he'll probably kill more people... if u lock him up, he'll be consuming the tax payers' money... Ok... so the best way is... we kill him!! So lets re-examine... why does a murderer murder? coz he wants money, fame, whatever u name it... and his victim was "IN HIS WAY"... so he murders him...

So now u think about it again... what does this make those who believes in the legal system? Is killing people good or bad?

Coming back to knowing abt everything there is to know... I think life would be pretty much boring... coz if we knew that God existed... There should be no dispute over right and wrong, so everyone will be good and there would be nothing much worth reading in the papers... On the other hand, if we knew that God does not exist then there wouldn't be much point in living, because we reallise that we live in a ever expanding and compressing universe, hence nothing we do will leave any impact on anything... so it would've been just as good as if we haven't been born in the first place...
